Earlier this month, we hosted our Switching On Electrical Trade Morning & Supplier Showcase at Salford City College – and we’re still buzzing from how well the day went.
The aim was simple: bring education and industry together, give students a real feel for the trade, and create space for genuine conversations with the brands and people powering the electrical sector. With a great turnout and a strong line-up of suppliers, it delivered exactly that.
From product demos and hands-on tools, to practical advice and real career insight, the students threw themselves into it. They asked great questions, got involved with the displays, and showed real enthusiasm for what the future of the industry looks like. Events like this are a reminder of how important it is to keep investing in skills and supporting the next generation coming into the trade.
A huge thank you to Salford City College, the EIC, and all our supplier partners who took the time to attend, share knowledge, and support the students throughout the morning. Your involvement helped make the event feel engaging, welcoming, and genuinely useful for everyone there.
